Interior Shutters in Redlands
Interior shutters mount on the inside of your window, either inside the frame or on the wall around it. Plantation shutters are the best-known type, but they aren't the only way to set them up.
Styles to know
- Full-height: one panel covers the whole window. Clean and simple.
- Cafe: covers only the lower part of the window, for street privacy while the top stays open to light.
- Tier-on-tier: top and bottom panels open on their own, so you can open the top for light and keep the bottom closed.
- Split tilt: one panel with upper and lower louvers that tilt separately.
Mounting and fit
Window depth decides a lot. Shallow frames may need an outside mount so the louvers can tilt freely. Arches, angles, French doors and sliders each need their own approach. That's why measuring in person matters more than picking a size online.
When you picture the room finished, what matters most: privacy from the street, better sleep, or just a cleaner look?
